Position Overview:
The Small Kitchen Cook is responsible for preparing and executing food items with consistency, cleanliness, and care. This position supports both prep, dish, and line cooking duties in a compact kitchen environment, working closely with a small team to deliver quality food quickly and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation & Execution:
- Prepare all ingredients for menu.
- Cook menu items according to recipe and plating standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and cleanly.
- Follow food safety, handling, and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation during service.
- Completing dish pit duties quickly for a turnaround.
Inventory & Organization:
- Receive, label, and store food deliveries properly.
- Alert management when stock levels are low.
- Assist in minimizing food waste and maintaining portion control.
Team Support & Clean-Up:
- Communicate clearly with the team during prep and service.
- Help with dishwashing and deep cleaning duties.
- Follow all opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures.
